This ancient silver coin hails from 244-249 Rome. It features a hippo on one side and the bust of Otacilla Severa on the other. These coins were made to celebrate Rome’s first millennium. The celebration included massive games including a thousand gladiators and exotic animals, such as this hippo, that were imported into Rome. Due to the nature of ancient coins, each pendant is unique.
